In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. Stop by and check it out, and share your own finds!
This has been a good week for acquiring books. I got some things I have been waiting (and waiting) for, though there is plenty more I am still itching to hold (um, Forest of Hands and Teeth, where are you? It does not take that long to cross Michigan, honestly...)
Anywho, literally in my mailbox, I got the book Zombie Haiku. I won this from Velvet of vvb32 reads by participating in her zombie haiku contest, where I wrote this. So, I'm definitely going to be reading this for Helluva Halloween.
From the library, I got a few things I've been waiting on:
Catchign Fire by Suzanne Collins
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Maus by Art Spiegelman
Shirley by Kaoru Mori
I'm highly excited about all of these. Now the issue is finding the time to read them.
In this post:
Your haikus are definitely awesome. I really hope you enjoy Catching Fire. It's *so* good! Hadn't heard of Shirley before but it sounds intriguing.
ReplyDeleteCoool :) Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteShirley is by my fave manga peson (ok, my only manga person), She wrote the Rmma series, which I ADORE, and she always writes these "silly afterword manga" that make me literally laugh out loud, read them again, and laugh again. Love her.
ReplyDeleteReading CF right now! And I can't wait to get to The Name of the Wind. I read the first page the other day and was blown away completely.
ReplyDeleteCatching Fire is phenomenal! Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI just got Catching Fire yesterday!! I haven't started it because I am in the middle of 3 books right now, but hopefully I will get to it soon.
