Well, it's a Manic Monday once again, so it's time for "What Are You Reading?", a meme hosted by J. Kaye. Check it out and tell us what you are reading.
Last week, the plan was to read:
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Zombie Haiku
and maybe a couple of tales from Grimm's Grimmest for Helluva Halloween.. I read the first two, not so much the last. So it's been bumped to this week, along with:
A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K. Hamilton
Maus: My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman
Eternal by Cynitha Leitich Smith
I'll might squeeze in one more, but I'm not sure what.
Mentioned in this thread:
Last week:
This week:
Ignore my tweet! Didn't know you have this up. :) I have "Eternal" by Cynitha Leitich Smith on my list of future reads.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw the Zombie Haiku book in the store the other day.. It definitely looked interesting especially the way it was designed!
ReplyDeleteI gotta read Eternal.
ReplyDelete:)
Such a beautiful cover too.
I just watched a trailer of Eternal and it looks really good! I'll be interested to hear what you think of it.
ReplyDeleteI do not think I have heard of any of these, time for me to research some books. Happy reading. :) My list is here: http://rundpinne.blogspot.com/2009/09/what-are-you-reading-monday_21.html
ReplyDeleteSome of these books seem interesting, though i must say, I have no idea what "Eternal" is... nice cover though. And yes, I have been guilty of buying a totally just by its cover... well, maybe not buying it, but the cover lead me to read the jacket.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Blogs :) and "TrypTych" by Karin Slaughter.
Interesting reads - I dont think I have heard of any of them! So many books out there... LOL :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteAllison: The design is my favorite thing about Zombie Haiku. It is pretty spot on through out.
ReplyDeleteJ.Kaye: I got your tweet right after posting! At least that men everything was fresh in my mind.
Juju and Lauren: Eternal is a follow up to Tantalize, which I liked, so I am excited for it. I'm working it into the Wild Things Challenge on Gr.
Sheila and Jennifer: Yay! I love introducing people to new books! Maus is excellent and grounbreaking, Name of the Wind has taken overmy brain.
Jm: I am so guilty of cover-coveting (oh, I am so copyrighting that!). I am always so disappointed when something doesn't live up to it's cover, because I want to like it and display it's prettiness, but I don't display shitty books...
Esme: No prob!
Cover-Coveting.. nice :). You should totally Copyright that!
ReplyDeleteNot displaying shitty books is on my "must have" list of blogs I follow.
I've just gotta say that I am absolutely in love with your banner!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you!
ReplyDeleteUgh it took me forever to get through Bones of Faerie, not happy. Anyway let me know how Eternal is, I really really didn't like Tantalize and I believe they're by the same writer.
ReplyDeleteGood list. Hope you enjoy your reading this week!
ReplyDeleteYep, same author as Tantalize. I thought it had issues, but for the most part, I liked it. I will definitely let you know.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, Mary!
