Do your good deed for the day: Vote for Literacy @ Better World Books

I've mentioned before that I am a huge fan of Better World Books, the socially conscious company that sells great books, new and used, and donates a portion of the proceeds to literacy organizations. They are fabtastic, and they make me feel good about the ridiculous amounts of money I spend to further my habit.
Right now, they are letting you have a voice in their change. Last year, they too applications for a $20,000 grant, and right now you can help decide which organization will receive it. How awesome is that?
There are some really great programs, and the hardest part is going to be choosing.

Go here and click on VOTE NOW at the far right to vote and help make a difference.

Voting ends Tuesday, January 19th.

  2. If anyone needs a nudge about which organization to vote for, I'd highly, highly, highly recommend Open Books. I volunteer at the Open Books bookstore here in Chicago, which just opens and helps fund many of their literacy programs around the city. It is a fantastic organization that could really use the money. Thanks!
