Today, my lovelies, is my birthday.  Cards and presents in the mail, right?  Uh-huh.
Well, it's okay that you didn't get me anything.  It's better to give than blahblahblah, right?  I thought so too.  That's why, not only am I ending a contest today, but I beginning another one.
So let's get down to business.

Congrats and hoopla.  Send me your info, dearie, and I will get it in the mail to ya.  I do have to let you know, though, that I am still waiting on one of the items, so it might be a couple weeks before it gets to you.  I'll make it worth it. :)

Now, for the rest of you, I know it's normally depressing to read a winner announcement just to see it's not you; there it is, confirmed for all to see.  You are a loser.  (wah-wah).  But not today!  I mean, you are still a loser today, but there is a chance for redemption!

But first:
I always buy myself books for my birthday, and there are a lot I want (of course), but I wanted to do something a little more meaningful with my birthday this year.  Ah, the maturity that comes with age... ;p
So I decided that I was going to treat myself to a rummage through the  Bargain Bin of Better World Books, one of my favorite book sellers.  You should know by now of my love.   I am not completely sure what I'm going to be pulling out of the bin yet; all those little lovelies, saved from landfills and waiting for me to take them home -- a good rummage can take me days, and has been known to result in multiple orders...

And because I love you, and because I wanted to treat you to something on my birthday, while giving you options as to what you win, and while supporting one of may favorite causes, I decided to give one of you a rummage through the bargain bin of Better World Books too.  Now, if you're out there saying "She's offering us bargain bin books?" then I have 3 things to say:

1. You're obviously not familiar with my rambles about the awesomeness that is BWB, so let me give you the abbreviated version: Fab books, new and used (gathered from libraries, schools and book drives -- I've never had a book in bad condition, and I've ordered plenty); 32mill+ books rescued from landfills; Bargain Bin = 5 books for $15, proceeds to help support literacy campaigns + eco-friendly shipping; BWB has my ♥.
2. I am all for reduce, reuse, recycle.  And BWB is good quality and selection, so I'm not offering you crap books.  You get any 5 you like from thousands of choices and you get to feel good about yourself.
3. If the idea of used books is beneath you, allow me to show you to the door...

So someone's going to get not one but 5 books of their choice + the warm fuzzy feeling that comes with doing a good deed.
