Life's never fair when faeries are involved.
Paranormalcy was my first read of 2011, and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait for the sequel, and I have my fingers crossed that it won't suffer from the sophomore slump.
Are you guys awaiting on this one too? What do you think of this cover? Is it a nice progression from the Paranormalcy cover, or does it lack some of the mystery and magic?
What's on your wishlist?
Definitely looking forward to this one but the cover is just meh for me. I think the background could have been a little more interesting and maybe contrast with her dress. A lil too much red I s'pose.
ReplyDeleteI still need to read Paranormalcy, but this one also looks great. I agree with Vampires and Tofu, I'm not in love with this cover. It's still really pretty, but what landscape has a background which is that shade of red? I think the Paranormalcy cover is better.
ReplyDeleteI have this on my month-by-month out-in-2011 list of books I want to buy and I haven't even read the first one yet. I guess that's telling of my expectation. I may be able to pick up the first one later this week but I won't be able to read it for a couple months probably.
ReplyDeleteIn my eyes it's the facial expression, the apparent strong wind and the body in motion or prepared for motion, creating a great tension, that makes the first cover far better.
i'm wishing for this one AND Parnormalcy too ;-D
ReplyDeleteI've got the first one sitting on my shelf waiting to be read right after Brightly Woven. I hope it's good cuz the last couple of YA novels and have been a bit disappointing.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the pink in the cover :P Requested this one from MCLS. I hope it's just as good as the first, if not better.
