Wishlist Wednesday: Tris and Izzie

Another piece of wishful dandelion fluff, floating on the wind...

Mette Ivie Harrison
Expected Publication: October 11, 2011
from EgmontUSA
A modern retelling of the German legend "Tristan and Isolde", "Tris and Izzie", is about a young witch named Izzie who is dating Mark King, the captain of the basketball team and thinks her life is going swimmingly well. Until-- she makes a love potion for her best friend Brangane and then ends up taking it herself accidentally, and falling in love withTristan, the new guy at school.

I love the tale of Tristan and Isolde (aka the forerunners to Romeo and Juliet), and I love a good YA adaptation of literature in general, so this one looks promising.  And talk about cover love!  Oh man, they nailed this one.  Absolutely stunning!
Oh, and psst!  Mette is going to be participating in Fairy Tale Fortnight, which STARTS NEXT WEEK!!! Just thought I'd give you a heads up. :)

Anyone else wishing for this one?

  3. I haven't heard of this one, but it looks awesome! I've recently hated Tristan and Isolde, but only because I had to listen to the prelude of Wagner's opera about a billion times in my undergrad. Very annoying. But I am still putting this book on my TBR list. :)
