Beach Reads: Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg

Beach Reads is a summer meme, posted here every

make good beach or backyard reading.   Find out more here,
and feel free to post your own Beach Reads and enjoy the summer right!

Prom and Prejudice
Elizabeth Eulberg

After winter break, the girls at the very prestigious Longbourn Academy become obsessed with the prom. Lizzie Bennet, who attends Longbourn on a scholarship, isn’t interested in designer dresses and expensive shoes, but her best friend, Jane, might be — especially now that Charles Bingley is back from a semester in London.
Lizzie is happy about her friend’s burgeoning romance but less than impressed by Charles’s friend, Will Darcy, who’s snobby and pretentious. Darcy doesn’t seem to like Lizzie either, but she assumes it’s because her family doesn’t have money. Clearly, Will Darcy is a pompous jerk — so why does Lizzie find herself drawn to him anyway?
Will Lizzie’s pride and Will’s prejudice keep them apart? Or are they a prom couple in the making? Whatever the result, Elizabeth Eulberg, author of The Lonely Hearts Club, has concocted a very funny, completely stylish delight for any season — prom or otherwise.

  3. Really enjoyed your review, Misty. I too felt Elizabeth was at times a little too bitter and unlike her usual self. Loved Darcy though, thought he was cute!

  6. I was surprised at how enjoyable it was to read. Not my fave but one of the better P&P adaptations. Just a fun and quick read and highly enjoyable!

  7. I loved this one. Although I have to say, I really don't agree with your assessment of Lizzie. There were some boarding school types at my undergrgrad, and while they were usually okay, some of them were really stuck up.

    Nonetheless, great review!

  8. What didn't you agree with, Liz? I agree that most of the people in the school are bratty trust fund kids. I just find this incarnation of Lizzie FAR less likeable than MY Lizzie.
I didn't DISlike her, but she wasn't my funny, carefree-ish Lizzie.

The furniture packaging process is also important in the process of moving furniture as it protects the baggage from scratches and dust that can be assigned during the transfer.A furniture is wrapped with the finest types of packaging materials and multiple packaging materials, including cork, keratin, cloth and plastic stretching, and furniture packaging is also required in case of storage.
