Okay, I have to start by saying I am indebted to Liz for helping me with this one, because I couldn't remember the name of one of the books, which made it a tad hard to find.
I basically saw these covers for the first time just days apart. I saw Jessica Warman's Between and thought "Ooh, that's neat!" and then I saw Sherry Gammon's Unlovable and I thought "Ooh, that's nea- hey, wait a minute!" So yeah, pretty neato covers, and for all their differences in color and background and whatnot, definitely similar. No idea what these are about (you know, beyond what the titles imply), but they certainly got my attention. And creeped me out just a touch.
So what do you guys think? Love 'em, hate 'em, indifferent? If you had to choose just one, which would it be?
Which one did it better?
Last Week on FFO: The hardcover and paperback versions of Kirsten Miller's The Eternal Ones went around and around (cause there's an ouroboros on the cover...get it?), with the simpler original cover just b a r e l y eking out a win.

I like the Between cover better.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the cover of Unlovable. I really like the colours and the forest background. The cover of Between is not my taste at all. :D
ReplyDeleteI think I like the 2nd one better. The first one looks real fake.
ReplyDeleteUnloveable.
ReplyDeleteI'm going for Unlovable. I want to be in that scene, where as with Between... well, it's kinda hard to imagine myself in the clouds, y'know?
ReplyDeleteBetween, I like the symmetry of it.
ReplyDeleteUnlovable, but it's more creepy looking. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, they both look creepy. I would pick Between, it's less creepy. I don't really do creepy.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Between.
ReplyDeleteI think Unlovable. It sort of looks like they got the colors on Between's cover wrong.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you are indebted to me. Bwahahaha! (Kidding. Sort of.)
Definitely Between. The clouds make it!
ReplyDeleteBetween is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI like the Unlovable cover best, but both books just ended up on my TBR list!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Unlovable right now, and am really enjoying it, so I have to agree that Unlovable is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the UNLOVABLE cover best!! ;}}
ReplyDeleteSherry Gammon Author of UNLOVABLE
Also, I would also like to offer you a copy of UNLOVABLE to review for your book blog, if you are interested! You can check out my reviews on Goodreads to see if it is a book you would like to review. I would LOVE to do a giveaway too! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteUnlovable definitely!!! I love how there is the pink dress to give it some color. Inbetween doesn't really have any color and that makes it boring!
ReplyDeleteUnlovable for sure!
ReplyDeleteI like Unloveable. It's darker and more emotionally impactful. I'm gonna go find out what it's actually about.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Oh HI THERE, Sherry! ;)
ReplyDeletei definitely prefer 'unloveable' ... 'between' looks to sci-fi and just not my taste. 'unloveable' catches my attention better if i were to see it in a bookstore.
ReplyDeleteBetween - it feels otherworldly.
ReplyDeleteHi Misty! I really would like to know how we both came up with the cover. I hired Digital Artist Paul Beeley. What a small world!!
ReplyDeleteUnlovable for me too. It looks a bit creepy and I love those!
ReplyDeleteI like the spooky and mysterious vibe of Unlovable.
ReplyDeleteThe cover of Unlovable is much more loveable :P
ReplyDeleteI prefer the Unlovable cover and it's a great book too. :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love, Unlovable! It has a silent intrigue and mystery. I need to turn the cover.......
ReplyDeleteI'm late here, but I just wanted to put my two cents in. I recently saw Between in stores and at first I was inclined to that book cover more, but when you look at the hard cover you realize her feet aren't just hidden by clouds, they're literally cut off. You can see where her feet just aren't part of the image. It freaked me out, so I'm going with unloved lol.
