  1. The Circle books (the original four) are my favourite Pierce novels! Granted I'm biased since they're the ones that introduced me to her amazing writing.
Amazing books this week and I hope that you enjoy them all - even the one with the 'chesticles'.
    Happy reading!

(my IMM will be up in 24 hours - http://theladycriticslibrary.blogspot.com/ if you want to check it out then!)

  2. Thanks! Yeah, mine's up early because I wasn't quite ready to post a review (cause I've been reading books rather than writing about them. Oops...)

  3. Ahh so much Tamora Pierce love. I'm very happy that you got my package. I have Shadow Kiss in my TBR but still need to read it. And Clockwork Angel is good, I've heard it's 10x better than her other books. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

  4. I'm so looking forward to the Tamara Pierce event! Her's was probably one of the first fantasy series I ever read. Her books are synonymous with my childhood. I should read those again...

Wow! You got a lot of books! It makes me want to run over to my local Borders and load up on books. I can't wait for Sweetly. I just put in my preorder today, so I'm eagerly awaiting your review.

I don't usually do IMM posts unless I got loads of stuff (which is rarely). This week, I got Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon, Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay, Aloha from Hell by Richard Kadrey, and Hellbent by Cherie Priest.

  5. I feel the same way about City of Bones. There is something that will keep me reading for now, but I'm not sure if it's for me. I'm trying to be optimistic. I don't understand why everybody loves Jace so much. Maybe that will change with book 2.

Epic was definitely the right word for this. A lot of great books. Liesl & Po looks beautiful and sounds great. I haven't read anything by Meg Cabot either, but I want Abandon to the first book I read. Nothing for me this week. Happy reading :-)

  6. Liz, someone else said it was better too, but from everyone else I know who doesn't like the books, they've said it's worse. Or that it's so much of the same bad habits that you just want to explode.

Titania: I have a soft spot for the Alanna series (Song of the Lioness) because it was my first Pierce AND my first fantasy. I fell in love with them and the world, and I remember having the biggest crush on George.
I'm really looking forward to Carrier of the Mark, so I'm a little jealous of you there. ;)

SP: I don't get Jace either. People are OBSESSED with him, but he's an ass.

  24. With To Tame a Highland Warrior, you can start with book 2, but once you get to book 4 you need to read them in order. They all interlink in someway or another.

I love KMM's books, but To tame a highland Warrior is my least favorite of the highlander series.

I am like you in the fact that the tagline for that book, makes me move on and I don't normally read romance like that, but it was recommended by a friends mom who has never steered me wrong on a book recommendation.

In the highlander series books 3,4,5,and 7 are the best Dark Highlander made me laugh I love the heroin in that one.

My imm is up as well.
