I bought Balefire awhile back on pure cover appeal. Well, that an title appeal - I just thought it was a great combination. And the title was full of too much interestingness for me to pass up. But I really haven't got a clue what it's about or if it's any good, or when I'll ever get to it...
So, any of you read this one? Love it, hate it, want it?

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins is definitely lurking in my TBR pile. I feel like I'm the ONLY person who hasn't read it. I loved Catching Fire so I really don't know that the hold up is.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this one but would once again like to comment that the cover is reminiscent of CatDog from Nickelodeon. That is all.
ReplyDeleteWhile I have never heard of this book before, the Goodreads Summary makes it sound almost identical to Twitches (twin girls separated at birth who meet later and are both witches and have to combine powers to conquer evil). I haven't read Twitches either, but I would be interested in finding out which one was written first because the other one is probably just a rip-off of the first one. That's my thoughts on this book!
ReplyDeleteBalefire is an AMAZING series! Tiernan is definitely one of my favorite YA Authors. If you have the chance, READ IT! It's filled with dark magick, lust, and the peculiar town of New Orleans makes this a swoon-worthy read!
