TBR Tuesday: So Silver Bright by Lisa Mantchev

Most of us have books we've bought with all intentions of reading (or maybe just because it was cheap!), only to have them fade away on a shelf or disappear into a stack of books, never to be seen or thought of again.
TBR Tuesday is a way to talk about the books we own but haven't read, see what other people think about them, and help us decide whether to bump it up our list or knock it off completely.
[If you're more a book borrower than a book buyer, you're still welcome to participate with the books that you've been meaning to read and haven't!]

So Silver Bright

Fantasy, 354 pages
September 13th 2011 from Feiwel & Friends

All Beatrice Shakespeare Smith has ever wanted is a true family of her own. And she’s close to reuniting her parents when her father disappears. Now Bertie must deal with a vengeful sea goddess and a mysterious queen as she tries to keep her family – and the Theatre Illuminata – from crumbling. To complicate it all, Bertie is torn between her two loves, Ariel and Nate.

I read book 2 of the Théâtre Illuminata series, Perchance to Dream, back in September, hoping to review it around the time of the release of So Silver Bright, which I knew I wasn't going to have time to read before Helluva Halloween. (Turns out, I wasn't going to have time to write my review of Perchance, either, so I need to get that up...).  Anywho, I really liked where Perchance left off, and am eager to see what happens next with Bertie and her two beaus in this final book of the series. At least, I think it's the final book... ?
And really, that cover.  Oh, my...
Any of you read this yet? Any of you coveting it, or wanting to start the Théâtre Illuminata series?

What's lurking in your TBR stack this month?

  1. I basically skimmed through all of book one, because I got bored. But I'm not sure if that's because I was going through a troublesome reading funk. I'll try again with book two and see how it goes. I LOVE the covers for this series.

  2. I read and loved it! One of my favorite books so far this year, and definitely my fav of the trilogy. (And yes, it's the last in the series. ^_^)

  3. I need to get this book! I really enjoyed the first two books and, like you, I'm interested to see where So Silver Bright picks up.

  4. I've been wanting to start the series just because I love Shakespeare and of course I'm a cover freak. The cover looks so cute! If only I can find the books in my country..hmm
