I think I'd have to steal Marissa's cookie jar, and fill it with some of her magical zero-calorie cookies!
ReplyDeleteI tweeted!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love reading sci-fi directed at girls and there seems to be so little of it. But a sci-fi fairy tale? Even bigger yes please!
ReplyDeleteThis has been on my TBR wish list since I spotted it featured on GR's. That cover sucked me in immediately! I would LOVE to read this!
ReplyDeleteI have heard AMAZING things about this one and have been on the wait list at the library for what seems like forever!! Such an interesting premise!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this book because Cinderella is one of my favorite tales of all time! I can relate to the Stepmother issue but funny enough it is in reverse for me, by Stepmoter is fantastic, my stepfather was the jerk lol. Also, the idea of a cyborg Cinderella is just too intriguing to pass up
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing collection! I'm completely jealous of the whole thing, but my favorite piece was the place that had the wedding scene and the rest of the story was told in smaller pictures around the rim.
ReplyDeleteOne of my friends told me I needed to read this!
ReplyDeleteCinderella + cyborg = awesome fairytale retelling. I love it when something old (Cinderella) gets remixed (like with cyborgs). And so many people have had good things to say about it!

I would love to steal the plate with the wedding scene in the middle. It was so pretty!

I'm going after the plates first. I particularly liked the wedding scene plate too because of the other scenes around the perimeter. So, first the plates, then the tiles, then if time allows, the cookie jar. Not greedy; just ambitious. So if you want to help your secret, of course, is safe with me.
ReplyDeleteI want to read this book. It sounds very good. Please enter me in contest. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Cinder because I collect retellings of fairy tales, nursery rhymes, etc. One example is The Roughfaced Girl (another retelling of Cinderella this time from an American Indian point of view). I love to see how different authors take the same story line and change it to fit their own ideas. Thanks for the chance to win this version!
ReplyDeleteMy teenager is dying to read this book and keeps talking about it. If I win, I'm going to NOT tell her and read it first...hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI have read many retelling of fairy tales but none like this!

I've been wanting to get a copy of this book since January. Since I haven't yet bought one, winning would be excellent.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted about the giveaway as well: https://twitter.com/#!/carlrscott/status/194194046829334528
Thanks for the op!
I love the idea of Cinderella in dystopia!!
ReplyDeleteI'd totally steal the second plate. The one of with the wedding in the middle, because I like it has images from the entire tale.
ReplyDeleteThe cookie jar!
ReplyDeleteAnd I shared on FB:

I want to read Cinder because I've already read it once and it was amazing. I'm sure I missed things and will like it more on the second go-round. I am a huge supporter of rereading!
ReplyDeleteI really want to read this because: I've heard great things about it, I've read/seen a lot of Marissa's interviews and she seems genuinely nice and super smart, AND I love fairy tales.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.

ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love a good fairy tail?
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Cinder because I've been on a sci-fi kick for almost a full year now and it hasn't died down yet so I just want to try out even more stuff.
ReplyDelete(signed up on the fairy tale fortnight form with the handle wanderindreamr, thought I'd be using my twitter handle to comment here not my google account)
I loved the Cinderella cookie jar. That's definitely something I wouldn't mind having in my house ;]
ReplyDeletei really wouldn't mind having that adorable cinderella greeting card : )
ReplyDeleteThis book looks absolutly amazing!. The cover art is gorgeous as well. Cinderealla is a fairy tale told over and over again but always with so muchn common with every other retelling. That's why cinder works its way into my mind the way it does. The perfect mixture of old and cutting edge new.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever read an amazing Cinderella re-creation. This sounds like one with an awesome sci-fi twist!
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Cinder a few days ago and I loved it!!! I borrowed it from the library so I don't own it yet. I loved Cinder as a character and I can't wait to see how she develops through the next books and of course the prince is totally dreamy!!!
ReplyDeleteThe piece I'd most love to steal from Marissa's collection is the Cinderella plate. Actually, I'd like to steal the whole collection. They were beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read Cinder because fairy tale retellings are the best and I adore Cinderella!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

I think cinder looks amazing, it's something different.
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to read Cinder ever since it came out this winter. My TBR pile has really grown lately. I'm off work for the summer and will definitely get to Cinder then, but would love to win a copy of my own! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteIt's because I'm obsessed with fairytales and this retelling has gotten great reviews from people I trust.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read this since I saw it on your vlog and that cover is ridiculously awesome.
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to get my hands on this book! Just because it has a very different and original approach to the Cinderella or even fairytale retelling and it is one of the most anticipated books I have to read this year
ReplyDeletePlus I would kill for a Cinder mirror [Please note: I do not condone killing XD ] Just saying
It sound SO different that I didn't really have plans to read it. I've heard such GREAT things about it, though, that I have to check it out now.
ReplyDeleteI love the plate with the wedding in the middle and other scenes around it! So cool!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read Cinder because, hello, it's cyborg Cinderella with a smattering of Sailor Moon and Firefly. You can't get much more awesome than that.
