None of these categories really surprise me. I think I Capture the Castle is a particularly great summer book, and the summer of sixth grade stands out to me because that's when my family moved to Ohio. A girl who lived near me walked with me to the library and told me I ought to read those books. We obviously became good friends, and I met another friend once school started because I was carrying the book around with my trapper keeper.
ReplyDeleteUh, let's talk about how I just finished Bake Sale and need to get my hands on Robot Dreams now now now.
And I haven't read any of your magical realism books except The Time Traveler's Wife, but they are things I want to read. Someday, someday.
For me, summer reading is easy: read as many books as possible from all those i buy during the year but never have the time to read because of my studies :)
