  1. I'm reading Virals right now. I'm just at the beginning, but it sounds good. The main character is Tempe Brennan's (the protagonist of Bones) grand-niece (lol).

I recently read Fire, too. I loved it because there's adventure mized with one of the most swoon-worthy romances I've seen in a while. Seriously, I fell in love with the male lead.

I read the first two Heather Wells books a few years ago, but can't remember the details very well, so I was thinking of starting it again. I wouldn't start a series from the fourth book, but then I thought the series was ending with the 3rd one, so maybe that book provided a sort of closure and now you can start with the new leg of the series. There's a trailer for Size 12 and Ready to Rock in the form of an '80 style music video (because Heather Well was a former pop teen sensation, before putting on weight) and I've watched it five times already. It hypnotnized me.

You got almost all of these for 20 bucks? I would've bought the whole store...

  3. Close-outs prices PLUS 20% OFF?? Ten books is an amazing feat of restraint and I bow down to you. For reals.

Great haul too! That's awesome that they had so much new-ish stuff for so cheap. I'm super jealous you got Name of the Star for such a good price -- I've been wanting to read that one since it's release last year.

  4. 1) I haven't read any Meg Cabot either, but I DID get Abandon this week, so hopefully soon.
    2) I really liked Name of the Star probably because it's different from what Maureen Johnson usually writes, which isn't so much my thing.
    3) I know Dragonswood is technically a sequel, but I believe it can be read as a standalone (I had a friend who read Dragonswood first), and have heard good, but not great things.
    4) I hope you get to read Dead Reckoning soon! Excited to hear your thoughts.

  5. Wait, Dragonswood is a sequel? How did I not know this?
And I have Abandon, but haven't read it (obvs), though - PERSEPHONE!! =D

  6. I recently read Across the Universe and was actually kind of disappointed in it :/ I have A Million Suns as well, though so we'll see if that's an improvement.

Shattered Souls is pretty decent. I didn't love it, but it's worth the read.

I LOVED Wolfsbane and read it when it came out last year, but haven't gotten to Bloodrose yet.

Graceling, Luminous, and The Name of the Star are all in my TBR pile. Trying so hard to keep up and not entirely succeeding.

  7. Because it's impossible! For every book I read, it seems like 5 more get added to the pile. And who knows how many added to the wishlist?! I'm sure it's the same for you.
