ReplyDeleteI love retellings of Austen classics! They make me smile. I think that the gender flipping is very reflective of gender roles/issues in current society. Look forward to reading/listening to this one!

ReplyDeleteAside from the author's hair making me squee and clap my hands, and being recently addicted to audio books (do the dishes without one? Tish tosh!), I love the concept of flipping the masculine coldness/insecurity of Darcy into a woman. And also, if I had the main character's ability, I'm pretty sure my actual life would fall by the wayside.

DeleteI've been wanting to read this for awhile, since I heard about it on IndieJane. But now that it's an audio book even better. I'm a huge audiobook person, but so far I've only attempted one JAFF audio and honestly had to shut it off, as the narrator did not do it justice. So now seeing such a glowing recommendation on the narration I'd love to check it out!
