In Abigail Reynolds' bold and playful retelling of the Austen classic, a devastated Mr. Darcy must decide how far he is willing to go to win the woman he loves. Consumed by jealousy, he knows that winning her will throw them both into scandal and disgrace, but losing her is unbearable. Mr. Darcy is going to have to fight for his love, and his life. . .

Thanks to Austenland, I'll say JJ Feild!
ReplyDeleteHe played Tilney!
DeleteThis is the only Pemberley variation I haven't read, keep meaning to get it.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love Austen, I STILL haven't read any variations of her novels. I have to start somewhere right? :-) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAnd as for who I'd like to see play Darcy...hmm...maybe Henry Cavill? I think I just have Superman on the brain ;-)
DeleteI would love to see Richard Armitage play Mr Darcy!!!
ReplyDeleteGOD YES.
DeleteThere's no one I really *want* to see play Darcy, not until the memory of Colin Firth fades.
ReplyDeleteIs it crazy to say Benedict Cumberbatch? I really would want a British hero, and he's so yummy. I know he's Sherlock and maybe that's good enough, but I say the more Darcy the better, the more Cumberbatch the better. mmmmmm
ReplyDeleteHmm... I can kinda see it.
DeleteSounds like a good read!
ReplyDeleteHugh Jackman might make a good Darcy!
ReplyDeleteI can't recall his last name, but he was Prince Caspian in Narnia: Prince Caspian. Ben???
ReplyDeleteI think he is the right age and could do a brooding stare very well.
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
I second that...Ben Barnes. :)
DeleteBest Darcy EVER would be Richard Armitage or Michael Fassbender! ♥ I just picture them as Darcy always ♥
ReplyDeleteYES on Richard Armitage! Have you seen North & South, with him as Mr Thornton, Ana? If not, watch it. Trust me. =D
DeleteMichael Fassbender...swoon. Henry Cavill could do it justice, plus there would be PLENTY to see coming out of the pond. That Superman suit left little to the imagination!
ReplyDeletePaul Bettany !
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I saw a Darcy about a week ago. The Darcy in question was the latest one, Matthew Rhys who is playing Mr Darcy in the Death Comes to Pemberley. If it wasn't him, this man was the image of him, but I didn't like to gawp at him too much, in case he was just some bloke on a day trip! I just googled him and he is from the same city as me so it's possible.
ReplyDeleteAs for who I'd like to see playing Darcy, I am happy with Colin Firth circa 1995, but if we must have a new one I like Richard Armitage and Henry Cavill.
Hugh Jackman might make a good Darcy... but he may be a bit too old to be playing someone in their late 20s.
ReplyDeleteThis book has been on my wish list for ages (literally years)!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks so much! I am so excited to read this. I read P&P once a year and I got a new copy for this year's reading. So I think I will be reading them back to back.
