Jane In Your Interwebs, part 3

Sadly, this is our last Jane In Your Interwebs post for this year. =(frownyface)= I'm going to try to be a better blogger and all-around Janeite by giving you moments of Jane throughout the year, but to tide us over for a little while at least, here are some other awesome Janey things I've come across recently.
Enjoy, and remember - any time you come across some awesome bit of Jane in your interwebs, tweet me a link! I'll be stock-piling for next year, after all...

* I just came across this one literally 10 minutes ago, and added it into the post immediately. Alyssa Goodnight tweeted out a link to my Austentatious review, and in that link she used the audiobook narrator's twitter handle - which I of course clicked on and followed down the rabbit hole that led me to her awesome tumblr, P&P: the REAL Story. If you're a fan of P&P and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (and stick figures), you should probably check this out.

Speaking of The LBD, I just want to take a moment to appreciate how thorough the producers of that show were, going so far as to create twitters and tumblrs for just about everyone on the cast, and even an OK Cupid profile for their perfidious Wickham... Hilarious. They also created a website for Darcy's company, Pemberley Digital, but you know what - it's a real thing now. Based on the success of the webshow and their desire to bring more Austen to the masses, PD is a real, bonafide company. Their next project? Well, let's just say it's

I IZ EXCITE.

In word-nerd news, Penguin is releasing an entire line of 26 books, one for each letter of the alphabet, with gorgeously designed monogrammed covers. The first one: A for Austen, of course. That's right, world. Our Jane comes first; you lose.

There is a deck of Jane Austen tarot cards, so that's a thing I need. I would keep it next to my zombie tarot, but we all know how that turns out... =/

Glamour did a piece of "6 Things You Never Knew about Pride & Prejudice," and though that's a silly thing to say to a room full of Janeites, there are some interesting tidbits there, including the fact that Joe Wright convinced Judi Dench to play Lady Catherine de Bourgh "by writing her a letter that read "I love it when you play a bitch."" Also, they used this gif, and fangirls everywhere cried rainbows.

And lastly, I'm pretty sure I've shared this one before, but I just stumbled across it again recently and I could resist. Enjoy, and I'll see you all next year for more Jane in Your Interwebs!

If Emma Approved is half as good as it sounds like it will be, I am prepared to fangirlstalk Bernie Su and Hank Green until they let me be a part of it somehow. :)

  3. Oh, c'mon! You know I'll always go with B. = ) No diss to A, though. Love reading Austen. Kudos to Jessica Hische, the jacket illustrator.
