  1. I can't believe Tuck is 40. Time really does get away. I've got Alexa's book and I plan to read Syrie's new one too.

Good luck on the move. Packing, ugh!

  2. OMG! I can't believe Tuck Everlasting is 40! I LOVED it as a kid, and it started a lot of conversations about immortality.
Also, thanks for the heads up about The Madness of Mr. Darcy. I look forward to seeing how that one is (more darkness! yay!).
You should definitely read Garden Spells. It's SAA's best book, in my opinion, and it'll make the characters in First Frost more approachable (...erm....guessing...haven't read First Frost yet).

Best of luck with the unpacking!

  3. I read Tuck Everlasting in Grade 6 or 7, and to be honest I found it kinda creepy... the whole "everlasting" aspect of it unsettled me, lol. Not sure how I would react were I to read it again now!

I second the recommendation of Garden Spells. If you enjoy subtle fantastical elements woven into a character-centred story, with a good dollop of evocative imagery/description, you'll probably find Garden Spells to your taste :)

  4. I just finished reading STITCHING SNOW. Definitely one for FTF, Misty!
