Austen in August 2018 Welcome & Master List!


Hello, and welcome to a brand new Austen in August! For those unfamiliar, Austen in August is an annual blog event (this is the 9th year!) in which a group of Janeites (this includes you!) comes together to discuss, binge on, and gush over all things Austen and Austen-adjacent. This month, you'll find 4 solid weeks worth of reviews, discussions, interviews, giveaways and more — hopefully enough to satisfy the Jane craving inside of you. (But is it ever really satisfied?)

I've made a few changes and tweaks this year, the first of which is that all posts will be confined to weekdays, to hopefully give myself — and my poor wrists! — a break. I'm also posting a weekly newsletter, to let you know what's coming up for the week, what you may have missed from last week or previous AIAs, Austenesque ebook deals and swag, and all manner of Austenish things you may want to know about.

This means we're taking a departure from past years, in which I had a master schedule which was updated daily with the specific posts from that day, which I am not doing this year. BUT I do still want to make things easy for you to find and access, so I am including (in this post) a curated list of this year's posts, organized by type, so that if you're looking for a review, you can find it easily. These will be updated and linked as we go along, as I have the chance. (Be patient with me, I'm doing this whole thing without home internet this year. There may be a delay...)

You can find all of that below, with a bit of a sneak peek at what is coming in the first week or so. Posts will be going up (mostly) evenly-spaced throughout the day (and by 'day' I mean, what passes for day in the Eastern US timezone, because that is where I live and work and schedule things like this), and each post will include a link at the bottom that links back to this post, and looks like this:
