It's been twelve years since I started hosting Jane Austen events here on this blog, and though that chain was broken last year (thanks, 2020), this year marks the 11th year of Janeites from across the world and the internet gathering for 4 solid weeksfor reviews, discussions, interviews, giveaways and general gushing over our girl, Jane. Posts will be going up every weekday, with 2-3 posts each day — hopefully enough to satisfy the Jane craving inside of you. (But is it ever really satisfied?) And just like our last event, I've invited people to spread Austen in August to all corners of the internet, meaning you won't just find posts here on The Book Rat. For that reason, it's important to check the daily schedule if you don't want to miss anything; scrolling is great, but posts outside of this blog will be linked there, so make sure to check it out from time to time!
At the bottom of every post, you'll see something like this:
Clicking this button or the highlighted text underneath will bring you back to this page, so you can easily navigated to the post you want to read next! And if you find yourself just so inspired this month and you want to join in and pop up a post on your own blog, contact me with a link and I'll add it into the schedule!

Now, as mentioned, posts are only going up on weekdays, so we won't be kicking this off for real-real until tomorrow. But there's already SO MUCH STUFF for you to check out from AIAs past, so if you can't wait to get your Austen fix, you can see years
by clicking on their respective links! Enjoy your browsing, and I'll see you in the morning with a whole new slate of Austenesque goodies!

ReplyDeleteCan you believe it? AIA is practically a teenager! 😮🤯
DeleteYay! I can't believe it is time to AIA again!
ReplyDeleteIt's the best part of August!

DeleteIt’s the most wonderful time of the year!
ReplyDeleteSo ambitious but you know I love it.
ReplyDeleteThis year I (finally) read Persuasion, and I've been awash in Regency romance and social commentary through an epistolary LARP (and reading a bunch of Regency fic, and watching Regency shows, of course) so I'm stoked. Bring on the Austen!
Cardstock material for invitation boxes come in all kinds of thicknesses. You can get single, double, or even triple-wall board. Triple wall board is the most expensive, so you’ll need to justify the price.
